F.A.Q. About Your Wedding Cake
What is the deposit to reserve my date?
A $100 NON refundable retainer fee is required to hold your date. This is applied to the cost of your cake.
Is there an equipment deposit?
There is an equipment deposit of $25 for small cake stands and $100 for towers. We also have disposable cardboard cupcake towers available for purchase for $15.00. When all the equipment is returned, clean and undamaged, the deposit will be completely refunded. There is a $5.00 late fee per day the equipment is late. If the equipment is more than 5 days late, the deposit will NOT be returned.
What payment forms are accepted?
We accept cash, or PayPal. PayPal allows you to pay via credit card, debit from your bank, or with a PayPal balance. If you choose to pay with PayPal, you will be e-mailed an invoice with a link to pay securely on PayPal after we have worked out the details of your cake. You do not need to have an existing account with them to pay the invoice
When is payment due?
Payment is due one month before your wedding. Your cake will not be made until the payment has been made in full. If payment is not made by two weeks prior to your wedding, your order will be cancelled and you lose your deposit.

Do you take payments?
Yes! We have Payment plans available. You can find more information about our payment plans on our website under the payment plans tab.
What is the minimum order time?
Wedding cake orders must be placed a minimum of 8 weeks before the event. All orders are subject to availability, so reserve your date as soon as possible
Can I have different tiers of my cake different flavors?
Flavors for the filling and cake can be mixed and matched to your specifications. (The outside of the cake must be iced in just one buttercream.) It is suggested that you limit your cake flavors to just two. It becomes very hectic during the reception trying to serve a verity of flavors, and some guests often want to try the different flavors, in which case you may end up short.
Can you match my wedding colors?
We can match our cake to your colors. Bringing in a color sample is the best way to get it to match as closely as possible.
Who supplies the ribbon that I want on my cake?
The bride is responsible for purchasing all non-edible items she wants to decorate her cake. Once we know the size and shape of your cakes, I will let you know the amount of ribbon to purchase. (It is best to avoid wired ribbon, sheer ribbon, and paper like ribbon.) Keep in mind that grease can darken colors, so purchase your ribbon in a shade lighter than you want.
What are some options for cake toppers?
Topper options to use are a traditional or custom bride and groom ornament, flowers, bows, monograms, or cake jewelry. Please let us know which you choose, as this will affect the cake setup. If a cake topper other than bows or flowers is used, it is the responsibility of the bride/groom to get it to the reception before the cake is set up, or get it to me one month before the wedding.
Who decorates the cake table?
All fabric, lights, flowers, greenery, or anything else on or around the cake for decorating purposes is the responsibility of the bride/groom, or their decorator and florist. Keep in mind that a white cake will blend into a white tablecloth. Ask your florist to set greenery or flowers around the base to help your cake stand out. Also a cake base will help add elegance and height to your cake.
